Ozone's new Utralite is the lightest DHV certified glider in the world!

Ultralite

Ozone have released their Ultralite, an amazing glider at only 2.85kg (size 23). This knocks 1.2kg off the weight of its nearest rival, the Gin Yeti!

The weight is saved in several areas; reducing the overall size of the wing, using very lightweight fabric, unsheathed lines integrated without maillons to the dyneema risers.

Lightweight gliders needed to be treated with more care than a normal weight glider obviously, but the enormous weight and volume savings, especially for the travelling pilot, have to be worthwhile.
